About Sabati
Why Sabati exists
Most writing tools assume you will come back on your own. Real life says otherwise. Sabati exists to hold the thread and hand it back when you are ready.
How it started
I have wanted to get back into writing for years. The problem was not ideas. I had plenty. The problem was starting and getting into the zone. Once I am there, the words flow. But I could not get myself there consistently, so ideas piled up in Google Keep and waited in the mythical land of later.
At the start of 2026 I made a promise. One article a week, no excuses. I sat down to write and heard the voice of Crastinator.
“Are you really going to write for two hours and then spend another two hours posting everywhere? You code now. Build a better way. Write later.”
So I did. I built Sabati.
The problem Sabati solves
Writers, creators, students, and busy professionals often face the same issues.
- Ideas show up at the wrong time
- Momentum fades between sessions
- Starting is harder than continuing
- AI writing tools generate words but do not fix the gap between intention and action
Sabati was built to close that gap.
What Sabati does
Sabati is a writing platform with an unusual superpower. It keeps your ideas alive when you are not writing.
You drop an idea or start a draft. If you pause, Sabati does not nag or replace your voice. It sends one thoughtful question by email, SMS, or push. The nudge keeps you thinking so that when you return you are continuing a conversation you already started.
It also has Muse Mode, which reads along as you write, asks probing questions, and offers gentle editorial nudges to help you stay in flow.
Who Sabati is for
Sabati is for people who care about ideas but struggle with consistency, need reminders that help, and think in writing but live busy lives.
- Writers and creators
- College and graduate students
- Professionals who write between meetings
- Reflective thinkers and journalers
Why the name “Sabati”
Sabati comes from Bambara, a West African language, and means to make something clear and bring it to completion.
Not by pushing harder. But by returning you to clarity, again and again.
Sabati helps you keep thinking about your ideas, even when you are not writing.
